The Orient Wellness Centre ("we", "us") respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Information we collect

  • Enquiry details you submit — name, contact number, email, and anything you choose to share about your situation.
  • Communications — messages sent via WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • Site usage — with your consent, anonymised analytics such as pages viewed and referring source (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use it

  • To respond to admissions enquiries and provide care information.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To meet legal, clinical and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send health-related enquiry content to advertising or analytics platforms.

Sensitive information

Information about mental health or substance use is treated as special personal information. It is only shared with our clinical team and, where required, with medical practitioners you consent to involve.

Sharing

We share information only with: our clinical and admissions team; service providers who host or maintain our systems under confidentiality obligations; and authorities where required by law.

Retention

Enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to serve you or comply with legal requirements, then securely deleted.

Your rights under POPIA

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time.
