Alcohol rehab in Cape Town
Medically supervised alcohol detox and residential rehabilitation at The Orient Wellness Centre — with 24-hour nursing care and a structured six-week programme.
Alcohol dependence and problem drinking
Alcohol is the most abused substance in South Africa and the most common reason people are admitted to residential rehab. If drinking is affecting your health, your family or your work — and you have tried to stop and could not — you are describing alcohol dependence, and it responds well to structured treatment.
Alcohol withdrawal is one of the few drug withdrawals that can be medically dangerous. Seizures, delirium tremens and dangerous blood-pressure spikes are real risks of stopping cold at home. Detox should always be done under medical supervision.
How our alcohol rehab programme works
Medical detox (5–10 days)
24-hour nursing care, doctor-led medication regime, monitored vital signs and rapid symptom control. Detox happens on-site — no transfers.
Residential programme (6 weeks)
Individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric review, family sessions, relapse-prevention work and daily structure.
Dual-diagnosis care
Most people with alcohol dependence have an underlying mental-health condition — depression, anxiety, trauma. We treat both together.
Structured aftercare
Weekly aftercare groups, ongoing therapy and family support for at least six months after discharge — the real determinant of long-term sobriety.
